As a music educator, my goal is to promote excellence in every student, going beyond simply teaching concepts and running rehearsals. I want my classroom to be a creative, inclusive, and fun space where all students feel valued and respected, regardless of their identity. I aim to instill responsibility, respect, accountability, and motivation—qualities I hope they carry into other areas of life. I am committed to continuous learning, clear communication, and meeting the needs of all students, whether by providing instruments, offering lessons, or simply being a trusted mentor. Student-centered instruction with a trauma-informed approach is a strong method to gain rapport with students without sacrificing quality of education.
My vision is to build programs that are not only musically excellent but also beloved by the community and administration. These programs will inspire students to excel, perform with distinction, and showcase the heights they can achieve. I plan to present diverse performances featuring music from various cultures and eras, educating students on the significance and history of each piece.
Music has the power to enrich lives, and I am eager to help my students experience its transformative impact.
