I have had the honor of studying wind conducting under Dr. William Talley, Dr. Richard Suk, and Mr. Nate Wise. I am receiving a Minor in Wind Conducting and have taken extra advanced classes and lessons to improve this craft. For my final performance in Advanced Conducting, I conducted an excerpt of Asphalt Cocktail by John Mackey for the Ohio University Wind Symphony.
The Ohio University is a professional quality ensemble that plays a wide variety of wind ensemble repertoire. I was fortunate to successfully audition into this ensemble in Spring 2024 and again in Fall 2025, and I have been privileged to be a member of this ensemble for it's performance in London, England in July 2024 and it's collaboration with Boston Brass in November 2025.
The Ohio University Marching 110, known as "The Most Exciting Band In The Land", is one of the top collegiate marching bands in the country. Being a part of this organization was a huge part of my college career, and gave me some of my fondest memories and strongest friendships. I was appointed as Marching Section Leader in 2024 and Music Section Leader for 2025. Some notable performances I have been a member for include NFL Halftime shows at the Cleveland Browns (2023 and 2025) and Cincinnati Bengals (2024), London Band Week in London, England (2024), a historic collaboration with The Ohio State University Marching Band for a joint halftime show performance (2025), exhibition performances at BOA Grand Nationals (2022) and Super-regionals (2025), performances at NCAA postseason games including the Myrtle Beach Bowl (2023), Cure Bowl (Orlando, 2024) and the 2024 MAC championship game in Detroit, as well as numerous performances at high schools all over the state of Ohio.
The Ohio University Symphonic Band is the second level wind ensemble. I was placed in this group in Fall 2022, Spring and Fall 2023, Fall 2024, and Spring 2025. In Spring 2025 I was principal trumpet and had multiple solo opportunities.
The Ohio University Trumpet Ensemble is a fun, high level group that plays trumpet ensemble music of many different styles and difficulty levels. The group sends representatives to Ohio ITG conference every year. I have enjoyed my experience with this ensemble immensley and it helped me grow as a musician.
I was a member of Jazz II at Ohio University in Fall 2022, Spring 2023, and Fall 2024.
I have participated in the Dublin Wind Symphony and Clintonville Community Band, as well as subbing for the Big Walnut Big Band on multiple occasions. Most recently, I was honored to be asked to play in the Gahanna Alumni Musical production of "42nd Street".
Organizations I partipcipate in often have opportunities to be in student-led ensembles, including Kappa Kappa Psi's "Conduct Us!" ensemble and Music Minute performances. Additionally, the Ohio University school of music community will often sprout small ensembles put together by students that find opportunities to perform as part of official school of music events, some of which I have participated in.
In high school at Gahanna Lincoln, I was fortunate to grow up surrounded by a strong band program with many high quality performance opportunities. These ensembles and their directors contributed greatly to my musical journey and are a part of why I'm here today!
